Trump Decoder Ring

Trump says a lot of things, much of it rambling diatribes, but what is he really on about? We broke down his inaugural speech to see:

• “Law and Order” or conversely “Weaponization of Government” : It’s Law and Order if it goes against my enemies, and it’s Weaponization of Government if it goes against me and my allies. Considering a convicted Felon is saying this, the irony isn’t lost on me.

• “Golden Age of America” : the new Gilded Age - a time when wealth will be transferred from the poor and middle class to the wealthy at historic levels and our collective peril.

• “Taken advantage of” : this is addressed to the wealthy meaning regulations, taxation, and other reasonable management of mega-corporations and the rich will be curtailed to the detriment to society.

• “America First” : selfish rejection of support of our allies and current treaties.

• “Radical and Corrupt Establishment” : Democracy and duly elected Democratic administration, congress, and judiciary, including non-loyal government workers.

• “Dangerous Criminals” : non-dangerous people who are not ‘us’, and government workers.

• “Our Country Can’t Do X” : Our country is doing X. Oh - the GOP fixed it! (when they didn’t)

• “Mandate” : NOT a mandate.

• “America’s Decline” : America is not in decline - but will be once we’re done with it.

• “Integrity, Competency, and Loyalty” : Trump Loyalists, Incompetency, and Dishonesty.

• “I was saved by God to make America great again.” : Delusions of Grandeur.

• “Our Administration of American Patriots” : American Traitors.

• “Citizens of every race, religion, color and creed.” : As long as they’re White and have money.

• “The entire nation is rapidly unifying behind our agenda.” : Not at all.

• “In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. we will make his dream come true.” : No we won’t - he is spinning in his grave.

• “We will not forget our Constitution” : We will ball it up and use it for toilet paper.

• “It's all about common sense.” : I have no common sense.

• “Criminal Aliens” : People here legally.

• “Bring Down Costs and Inflation.” : Its already at record lows - I will make it go higher!

• “Drill baby Drill” and “Energy Crisis” : No crisis and no reason to Drill more than we are already.

• “End Green New Deal” and “End Electric Vehicle Mandate” - We will attempt to destroy our environment.

• “We will tariff and tax foreign entities to enrich our citizens” - we will pass on the costs of those tariffs and foreign taxes to our citizen customers.

• “Bring back free speech to America” : allow lies and misinformation to flourish, and criminalize the free speech of those we disagree with.

• “Fair, equal and impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law” : unfair, unequal, and partial justice under incompetent judges who misinterpret the Constitution.

• “Colorblind and Merit-based” : Encourage White ‘Meritocracy’.

• “Two Genders - Male and Female” : don’t tell the people with sexual anomalies.

• “Peacemaker and a Unifier” : War Maker and Secessionist.

• “Gulf of America” : Look I’m a dog and I’m going to mark my territory.

• “Manifest Destiny” : We’re going to continue to take what we want at the expense of indigenous people - ultimately planting our flag on Mars.

• “Frontier Settlers” : Colonizers

• “Untamed Wilderness” : Land of indigenous peoples.

• “We are going to win like never before.” : We are going to lose bad.

• “Exceptionalism” : White Exceptionalism

As we can see most of his complaints and assertions are really admissions of guilt.
